About ChillPuzzles

ChillPuzzles is a small, free online jigsaw game built around one simple idea: a new picture each day, with no account to create and no app to install. Open the home page, choose a difficulty, and work on the same daily image as everyone else. You can pick from 6, 12, 24, 35, or 54 pieces. The picture stays the same when you change difficulty; only the number and layout of pieces change.

A daily rhythm, not an endless feed

The daily puzzle changes at 00:00 UTC. That is 8:00 a.m. in China Standard Time, although the local time will differ elsewhere. If you leave the page open across the change, the game offers a button to load the new puzzle. There is no archive of past dates on the site today, so finishing one puzzle is a natural stopping point rather than a prompt to keep scrolling.

Each image is fitted to the board at its original proportions. A portrait painting remains portrait; a landscape stays landscape. The piece grid adjusts to the image so the game does not crop a subject just to force every scene into the same rectangle. The current rotation includes five public-domain or CC0 paintings. Their source and rights records are documented as part of the project.

Why keep it simple?

Jigsaws are satisfying because a small, concrete action leads to visible progress. ChillPuzzles makes room for that feeling without a download, a leaderboard, or a demand to finish quickly. You can pause, preview the picture, focus on edge pieces, or restart a difficulty. The game records progress in your current browser so a refresh usually does not erase a half-finished puzzle. It does not sync that progress across devices.

The game is maintained as an independent web project. It is free to play: there is no paid tier, purchase step, or sign-up wall. Keeping a site online still involves hosting and image delivery costs. At present the puzzle application contains no advertising or analytics integration. If that changes, the Privacy page will be updated to describe what is actually in use before those services are enabled.

Details about the image, difficulty, device, and browser help reproduce the problem. The Contact page explains what to include and when to expect a reply. We would rather fix a specific rough edge than add features that interrupt the quiet part of the game.
